Benji was a 6 month old kitten found with multiple fractures in Jan 2003.

Benji had  both the front limbs severely fractured in casks and a hind limb fractured too. He had become frail, weak with  a little chance at life. We got him out of the casks, in time,  treated him for his cold and gave him leg massages for 3 -4 months.  He recovered gradually and then from a slow walk, he started running, climbing and jumping high to play with the cat toy “ Fish Pole”.  He loved jumping in the grass, trying to reach out to the birds.

Benji’s Specialty – he would eat alone from a large dish which was put out for him with both his forelimbs in the dish put straight out as though this is my dish. Due to the fracture he no longer could fold his limbs but he had fun with all his prancing and running.  2 years later he was diagnosed with a major kidney problem, it was sadly Chronic Kidney Failure. After being on regular intravenous drips intermittently for a year, I still wished some miracle would happen and Benji would jump and run the way he did .. But he was dying and we finally lost him on August 22nd 2006.

As he was very special to me, I took him home to care for him in his last few days and the day before he died, he slept on my stomach the entire night. My last few moments with  Dearest Benji  which were very special in my Life and my last opportunity to bond with him and let him know I loved him dearly.  Benji you are with me in Spirit and in the Flowers I planted in his memory.

Each time you see a Star above in the Sanctuary Skies, that sends a Brighter Twinkle when you look up,  then  please  know  that this is “BENJI” sending a “Wink”    

Souls come into Our Lives and Touch Us Deeply, these May be Animals, Birds, Plants or Humans! 
It is upto us to Love them Unconditionally and Learn from All they Teach US!!
